Arches National Park

Arches National Park was about a four and a half hour drive from Bryce Canyon. We flew all the way down the I-70 experiencing America's 80 mph (130 km) speed limit for the first time.

Balanced rock
Arches National Park is named for it's abundance of natural rock formations that resemble arches. We got to the park in the later afternoon just as the desert was starting to cool off.

We drove around to see all the different rock formations and did a few short hikes before the sun set.

Moab is a small town sandwiched between Arches and Canyonlands National Park. It's home to tons of adventure tour companies and lots of first come first serve campgrounds. We grabbed one for the night and had a late dinner under the stars.
