We booked the morning ferry from Tobermory over to Manitoulin
Island. If you're traveling with a car, they want you to be there an hour early
for loading which meant being ready on the docks at 7:50 am. Since neither of
us are inherently a 'morning person', and we had no idea how long it would take
us to take down camp since it was our first night, we got up at 6:15 am just to
be sure. It turned out to be plenty of time and we stopped in for breakfast at
'Cragies' the only joint open in town so early in the morning.
We loaded our car at eight thirty and watched the ferry depart
from the top deck. Once on our way we settled down in a corner of the lounge to
do some blogging and gaming.

Once we arrived in South Baymouth, we sought out some gas and some
internet. It's a pretty small town but we were able to find a small internet
cafe right near the ferry docks. We split a sandwich while we uploaded our
photos.
We're staying at a small RV park called Mindemoya Court Cottages and campground just
outside of Mindemoya. We were able to rent a small cabin for two nights. It's
so nice not to be sleeping on the ground!
Making pasta for dinner |
We just relaxed for the rest of the day and made pasta later in
the evening. A coworker of mine gave us a bottle of wine as a going away
present which we enjoyed by the campfire.
