Out in the Prairies |
After we left the airport in Brandon it was about a six hour drive up to Saskatoon. Bill's childhood friend Stuart and his fiance Miley were working at the University of Saskatchewan for another week before moving out and were able to crash in their living room for a few nights.

View from sketchy bridge |
We arrived around five and Miley and Stuart made us dinner. Afterwards we went for a short walk over the scenic (albeit terrifying) railway bridge to take in a view of the city and to tour around the University Campus.
The next morning after our hosts when to work, Bill and I headed out for a day of exploring the city. Our first stop was the Western Development Museum.

Let me out! |
After a few hours at the museum we were good and ready for lunch. We headed downtown and sought out a nice patio to relax on. We settled on O'Shea's.

Full of lunch, we went for a short walk and then stopped in at the Lucky Bastard Distillery

Smelling some whiskey |
We got to try a sample of almost every type of vodka they had. For a joke we even tried a sample of their Dill Pickle falvoured vodka. It was like a mouthful of straight pickle juice from a jar :S
They sell them in mason jars with a pickle floating inside!
|
Free pickle included! |
Stuart and Miley made us spaghetti for dinner and afterwards we went to the Saskatoon Brewery to sample their wares.

Plenty of choices at Saskatoon Brewery |
